CBCT UPLOADING Troubleshoot

For designing 3D appliances which TADs based or custom bracket positioning with torque compensations we require CBCT data for placement to TADs or determining teeth inclination using CBCT ROOT data. For 3D planning we need the DIACOM (.dcm) data and not the pdf files of CBCT. This DIACOM data is obtained generally in CD or as a Google Drive link from the CBCT center. The CD contains the software required to open the DIACOM files and patient DIACOM files in it. To Keep upload file size small Kindly upload only the DIACOM (.dcm) files compressed in a single file (.zip or .rar). Illustrated below images to help understand better

1) Contents of CD/Google Drive download obtained CBCT Centre

2) 3D imaging software is very large in size and we don’t need to upload it

3) we need contents of the DATA folder

4) The data folder contains the DIACOM (.dcm) files which we need

5) Right click on DATA folder and select ” Add to Data–” option and make a .rar /.zip file

If this compressed file still fails to upload then it is larger than 100MB and you need to split it into 2 parts and upload both parts, for security reasons the upload limit of server is 110mb per file and most CBCT data are below 100MB. To split the file in to 2 parts follow the guide below.

1) Right click Data containing folder and select “Add to Archive..”

2) In the window menu marked red enter following value “104857600

3) After entering the value “104857600” press ok

This will generate 2 or more volumes of .rar files which will be 100MB or less each . Upload all these volumes in the CBCT upload section of Case Submission.
